WEEK 14 : THE FINAL IS COMING!!

1/11/2022

Dear readers, the end is finally approaching. I'm really sad this semester coming to the end. :(. But that's okay; at the very least, I'm survive it through the whole semester. I hope none of my readers are saddened by the fact that this is my final reflection.

In the final week of this semester's lecture session, competent students have come. I can sense each student's anxiety rising as they prepare for quizzes, examinations, and final tests in their individual topics once the lecture session is complete. Not to mention, each student who studies this topic will be given a final evaluation question. I hope that all students can give it their all when taking the quiz. I was also a little worried that I wouldn't be able to give this issue my all. Overall, appropriate revision can aid in a wonderful quiz solution. In order to be able to answer adequately, I try to review the topics that have been studied as well as my expectations with my others friends.

Hello, and have a wonderful day, everyone. What are you guys up to? I wish you all a fun time day.

This week, there were also asynchronous lectures. This semester's lecture session appears to be coming to a conclusion next week, which is the 14th week. When the final weeks arrive, a variety of emotions can arise. Many assignments must be completed before the deadline, which is this week or next week. I also struggled to prepare various final assignments in order to meet my deadlines. Not to mention the specific task of creating an e-portfolio, which I have accomplished over 70% of and have a few more parts to complete. In terms of the poster project, I completed it effectively and am hoping that the assessors find it intriguing. We were given additional time to finish multimedia and augmented reality materials projects, and there was no need to rush. Finally, I hope that I and the other members of my group will be able to complete the group assignments in an engaging manner and obtain positive feedback from the lecturers and other evaluators.

WEEK 12 : COMPLETING AR PROJECTS AND FEEDBACK.

1/4/2022

Good days and salutation to all my dearest readers. Wish you all in a healthy condition during this pandemic.

Asynchronous classes were held as usual at this week's lecture. Individual and group assignments, on the other hand, are not overlooked. We were instructed to give a presentation for the second group assignment, the Augmented Reality (AR) materials project, after the synchronous class. This AR material appeared to be a bit difficult to produce at first, but after seeing Dr. Fariza's YouTube video, the method of work gets simpler. I and the other members of the group debated the title of the AR content that would be created. We agreed to make the title '10 popular sports in Malaysia' after completing the discussion. The history of the ten sports, how they are played, fun reinforcement games, and sports video games are among the subtopics that will be detailed and featured. To make our AR materials more appealing, we also try to incorporate a number of options. After giving the presentation and having it videotaped, we were instructed to email it to Dr. Fariza's Telegram group for feedback. We're hoping that the title we chose will be accepted by Dr. Aside from completing group projects, I also drew up a rough outline for the poster I'll be making to make it more intriguing. Finally, I hope that everyone is in good form to face the final weeks of the lecture session and that things have been simplified for the remainder of the semester.

WEEK 11 : MAKING AND FEEDBACK STORYBOARD OF ANIMATED VIDEOS (GROUP'S ASSIGNMENT)

12/28/2021

Dear readers, thank you for stay tuned with my blog. I hope your days be blessed and a good day in your life.

Flood relief leave has been extended to allow students who have been affected by the floods to clean up their houses as well as students who volunteer to help flood victims. The group task of creating a storyboard, on the other hand, is not forgotten and will be evaluated by Dr later. We separated the storyboard into numerous segments during the creation process, including the beginning, development, climax, and resolution, so that the tale could be conveyed clearly. We were to present the storyboard in video form and send it in a Telegram to Dr Fariza for evaluation after a few days of creating it with the other group members. We genuinely hope that lecturers respond positively to our storyboards. The lectures this week are asynchronous, with each group merely having to submit a video of a pre-recorded presentation through Telegram. Dr. Fariza will provide feedback on each presentation video. Dr. Fariza has viewed our presentation on video and has taken notice of her. We need to add components that allow the audience to have a strong impression after seeing our animated videos, according to the feedback, and our storyboard is good overall, with little improvements made from time to time.

WEEK 10 : CASPER METHOD

12/25/2021

Welcome back, dear readers!

I've made it all the way through lecture week, up to the tenth week.  Very impressive  because I made it through this online learning challenge.  Isn't it surprising how easily time flies? Dr. Fariza still conducts lectures to ensure that no students drop out while completing assignments, but those who inconvenience to participate in classes are forgiven. This week's lecture was essentially cancelled because UKM had issued a circular to give a period of calm to students affected by the floods. Dr Fariza reminded us of the individual job of creating a poster using an appropriate programme such as Canva before beginning the lecture session. The focus of this week's lesson is design principles (CASPER technique). To make it easier to remember, the CASPER approach has been abbreviated. So, what exactly is the CASPER method?:

C- contrast (contrast of colors, images and typography)
A - alignment (to achieve balance such as straight and parallel lines)
S - simplicity (concise, easy to understand, not too long and excessive)
P - proximity (distance between graphics and words)
E - emphasize (place emphasis on main title: font, style, color)
R-repetition (frequency of images, colors, fonts, etc.)

Furthermore, Dr. Fariza explained two criteria for creating an engaging design:

1. A portion must have a primary colour and no more than four colours to avoid seeming cluttered.
2. Provide enough of white space (not necessarily white) so that the eyes aren't too weary to see vivid colours.

Picture
All of the approaches listed above are critical in creating engaging multimedia material assignments that allow the audience to understand the message being given. Before the workshop finished, Dr. Fariza instructed each group to develop a storyboard based on the topic that they had chosen. My group decided the theme 'Flood Beware,' as mentioned in last week's reflection, and agreed to use the Powtoon app after Dr suggested it. The completed storyboard should be presented at the following lecture. I hope to collaborate with my partners to create engaging multimedia resources, and I also hope that pupils affected by the floods will be helped.

WEEK 9 : GROUP DISSCUSION

12/21/2021

Assalamualaikum and good day my readers! Hoping you guys in a good health and stay safe always.

This week also includes asynchronous classes. Group discussions, on the other hand, must continue. My group worked well together in presenting their respective ideas in order to finish both assignments. Our major goal is to come up with fantastic ideas for Augmented Reality learning material assignments. We've decided to publish our animated videos using the Powtoon app. Powtoon is a programme that allows us to generate animated videos in 2D or 3D with a range of elements in order to create multimedia videos that are both intriguing and entertaining to watch.

Dr. Fariza recommended this Powtoon application because it is more user-friendly and ideal for students, so we agreed to use it right away. We've decided to develop an animated video called 'Flood Beware' after some discussion. At this time, the topic of floods is very much in the spotlight in our country, as the rain that shows no signs of stopping has swamped several districts. Not to mention that there are members of my group who are also affected by the water crisis, and we are extremely understanding when some of them do not join in talks on occasion.

WEEK 8 : LEARNING THEORIES & TPACK MODELS

12/16/2021

Salute, everyone. how are you guys today? I hope you all in a good condition during this pandemic and always stay safe.

The simultaneous teaching via the Zoom platform was held for this week's session. Teaching theory and instructional design were the week's teaching topics (TPACK Model). Teaching with this TPACK is actually unfamiliar territory for me, as I covered this topic in Year 1 of my studies. As a result, I created the lesson this time to help me remember and grasp what I had learned previously.
Learning theory:
  • Behaviorism
  • Cognitive
  • Constructivism
Picture
Learning theories are divided into three categories: behaviourism, cognitive, and constructivism. In fact, I studied this theory in Year 1 for the subject of Educational Psychology and am fascinated by it because it is so closely tied to our future teaching techniques. The Theory of Behaviorism, the first theory, is a scientific study of human behaviour. By focusing on new behaviours that are repeated until they become common, changes in human behaviour can be seen or assessed. According to behaviourism theory, learning happens when behaviour changes as a result of reinforcement, feedback, and teaching. This theory, in my opinion, is critical in learning since it allows us as instructors to determine whether our pupils are bored or still eager to finish the lesson. Overall, Behaviorism Theory is a theory that explains how behaviour is caused by the'stimulus-response' relationship.

The cognitive theory is the second theory discussed. Cognitive learning is a cognitive process that results in behavioural changes in learning, according to cognitive theory. The learning process can only take place when students have enough relevant experience to learn new things, as well as the motivation and willingness to take charge of their own learning activities. Cognitive development is an essential component of human growth and development. Cognitive development refers to the growth of the brain as it relates to human thinking, as evidenced by changes in behaviour and speech. Jean Piaget, who was born in Neuchatel (Switzerland) in August 1896, was the first to propose this hypothesis. Cognitive theory, in my opinion, is well-applied in teaching strategies since it allows instructors to observe how students think and develop their ideas while in class. Finally, this notion must be considered while applying the value of better learning.

The constructivism theory is the final theory discussed. A fresh perspective on science and how humans acquire knowledge is gaining traction among psycholinguistic experts all over the world. This new perspective argues that students not only passively acquire information from their professors, but also actively construct their knowledge through interaction with their surroundings. Constructivism is another name for this viewpoint. Students actively develop their own information or conceptions based on prior knowledge and experience, according to constructivism. Students will adapt their newly acquired knowledge to their current knowledge in order to create new knowledge in this process. I explain the theory and how students should use it in order for the teaching of new topics in class to go well. This is due to the fact that when instructors begin learning a new material, they can quickly adapt to it by drawing on new ideas and prior expertise.

Next,
Designing instructional materials (TPACK Model)
Planners utilise instructional design as a tool to construct and plan in all elements of teaching and learning. Educators must examine many factors and aspects when planning teaching and learning, and it should be recalled that the elements that affect teaching and learning occur both within and outside the classroom. Given the large number of factors to consider, educators must devise a design that is best suited for developing and planning effective and suitable teaching and learning. What I observe here is that before entering the classroom, an educator will arrange teaching and learning activities. The TPACK Model is one of many irrigation design models that has been described.

(TPACK) models are as follows:  (TPACK) mode

T-technology
P-pedagogy
C-content
K-knowledge

PCK (pedagogical content knowledge), TCK (technological, content, knowledge), and TPK (technical, content, knowledge) are all intertwined in TPACK (Technological, pedagogical, knowledge). As a result, it can be argued that instructors must teach utilising the TPACK model in order to attain a high level of teaching effectiveness.

WEEK 7 : AUGMENTED REALITY (AR)

12/14/2021

Hello, everyone. Thank you for having me. This week lecture, I have many thought on completing my assignments, but my interest in this subject would build my energy back!. So, lets talk about this weeks's topic which is Augmented Reality.

To begin, Dr. Fariza asked us to view a lecture on her YouTube channel titled Augmented Reality below for this seventh week lecture, which was conducted asynchronously. This lecture week's focus is Augmented Reality in Education, which includes an overview of Blippar and Metaverse applications as well as a group project. With the use of computer webcams, cameras, and even special eyewear, Augmented Reality is a technology that may deliver information into the virtual world and display it in the actual world. While in high school, I learned how to use this AR material because the teaching at the time was based on 21st century learning, and I can assure you that this AR material is really intriguing and makes learning more pleasant. The goal for this week is to be able to think critically, creatively, and innovatively in a variety of situations, as well as to solve problems wisely. The first aspect of the group assignment to consider is the augmented reality learning project, followed by the multimedia learning material. I also discovered that creating this project in augmented reality is a terrific way to have more fun while teaching and keep students engaged. It is also simple for instructors to give instructional aids, and the information to be presented is quick and clear.

Dr. Fariza requested us to organise various groups of three to four people each to accomplish this project. I've formed a group of four persons, consisting of myself, Aisyah, Faiezin and Rafiqqi. They also from a sports and recreation programme with me. I am ecstatic to be a part of their group because they are extremely professional and adept at performing tasks. Hopefully, my group will be able to accomplish this group task without any issues. I also hope that through developing this AR material, I will be able to deliver numerous benefits to teachers and children in order to assure a brighter future.

WEEK 6: TAKE A LOOK ON WEEBLY

12/9/2021

Good day, everyone. What was your day like? I hope you are all in excellent health and remain so throughout this pandemic. Let's look at what I've learned this week.

Asynchronous classes were held during this week's lecture. Because many of the teaching resources were available on UKMFolio or Telegram, I was also able to alter when asynchronous lessons were held. The goal for this week is for students to be able to manage and integrate information in physical education, sports, and recreation in order to develop good living habits. Because Dr. Fariza had something else to do, she asked us, her group of students, to view a video on Fariza Khalid's YouTube channel about "E-portfolio in Education." The video that needs to be seen provides a more detailed overview of the specific work, which asks us to create a blog using several applications, with the Weebly application being recommended. I had never heard of the Weebly app before, and there are a lot of things I can do with it in order to complete this unique project. I used to have a blog but was not very active due to the fact that I was living in a hostel. I just wrote on my blog after I got home from the hostel. I stopped writing since I live in a full dorm and rarely return home, and the last time I wrote was in Form 3.

Returning to Weebly, I began explore this software and discovered that it was both simple to use and enjoyable to perform things with. I've been following Dr. Fariza's YouTube instructions one by one. There are a lot of cool tools in this Weebly that I can use to make my e-portfolio more appealing and gorgeous. The e-portfolio is a weekly student reflection platform as well as a place for students to share their experiences with individual and group tasks. I've also started using Weebly to create my educational blog, and I've had a lot of fun and excitement putting together my e-portfolio, and I'm excited to finish it. While attempting to finish their separate responsibilities, they are also in good shape. We were requested to create a URL link using the Weebly app and post it in the Telegram group after watching the video on YouTube. While attempting to perform their separate duties, I hope that my teammates are likewise in good shape.

WEEK 5: First MEETING AND INTRODUCTION TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING AND LEARNING

12/7/2021

Salutations and Assalamualaikum to everybody. How is it progressing for you today? I hope everything is fine with you!

The fifth week of lectures has begun with synchronised classrooms with tutorial groups. I've become a member of the Dr. Fariza Khalid tutorial group. She is a professional with a lot of experience in the realm of teaching technology, and I consider myself very fortunate to be able to join her group. Things to do in the first week of the meeting: Before the class starts, we students need to introduce ourselves to each other on the telegram platform, which is part of a collection of tutorials that have been produced. Through my Telegram introduction, I was able to meet new people from other programmes, such as Special Education and TESL. Because we rarely open the camera during class, this does not prevent us from interacting while in this virtual lecture, and I enjoy the lively atmosphere. Dr. Fariza then gave a lecture on the Zoom platform for more information on the topics of the second and third weeks, in order to accomplish the objectives for the second and third weeks. An introduction to the concept of technology and the realm of educational technology was discussed.

Dr. Fariza divides educational technology into five categories. The five domains are as follows: (DDUME),
  • Domain 1 : Design
  • Domain 2 : Development
  • Domain 3 : Utilization
  • Domain 4: Management
  • Domain 5 : Evaluation

Picture
Based on the five domains mentioned, the second area, 'development,' poses a significant challenge for educational technology since, in my opinion, every teacher should seek to achieve teaching objectives every time they enter the classroom. As a result, every accomplishment necessitates effort, such as vast knowledge and experience in teaching technology. Because Generation Z is more exposed to new technologies, educators must discover effective teaching methods to meet the objectives. Overall, I believe that each domain contributes to the realm of educational technology in a number of ways.

Before class finished, we were requested to open the camera to take pictures of my presence. I noticed that every student was delighted to open the camera and be able to view other students, even if it was just virtually. I had a lot of pleasure during Dr. Fariza's first lecture since she has a really clear and engaging manner of describing things. Based on the description of the subject, I believe that this subject is highly interesting and that it will allow me to polish my skills in the field of educational technology, which will be very beneficial in the future. Finally, I hope that I will be able to put up a significant amount of work in order to successfully complete each of the necessary assignments.

WEEK 4 : REVIEW INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP ASSIGNMENTS

11/23/2021

Everyone, Assalamualaikum. This week, join us for another round of reflection. How is it going for you today? I hope your day goes as planned and is as simple as possible.

Asynchronous classes were held during this week's lecture. Because many of the teaching resources were available on UKMFolio or Telegram, I was also able to alter when asynchronous lessons were held. Because my tutorial group's tutorial sessions haven't started yet, I've done a review of the topics that need to be accessed this week on the UKMFolio site. There is a lot of good information here that I may utilise to construct my ideas for producing assignment materials that will be completed later. I've also only a rudimentary understanding of what needs to be done for individual and group assignments so that I don't become confused while working on them. I understand that for individual tasks, students must create an e-portfolio using the Weebly app and make engaging posters utilising a range of sophisticated tools such as Canva and others.

This course, as far as I can see, encourages students to be more creative in presenting their work using their own ideas. The first group task for group assignments is to make a movie or animation; the second group assignment is to generate intriguing AR materials to use during later teaching and learning sessions. Overall, I was eager to explore the many applications suggested for performing the assigned tasks.

Thanks to those of you who are reading this. I hope you all have a wonderful day today.

Asynchronous classes were also held in this third week's lecture, just as they were in the previous week's lecture. Lecturers have also uploaded teaching resources to UKMFolio. The learning theories that underpin the planning, development, and execution of a media are the topic this week, and the goal is to develop the ability to think critically, creatively, and innovatively, as well as solve problems wisely in a range of scenarios. I've also done some research to learn more about this technology-related teaching technique, and the subject requires a thorough comprehension at times so that no information is missed. This week, I could tell that I was trying to adjust to this lesson synchronously or asynchronously so that I didn't miss any of the instructions.

Hello and best wishes to all of our readers. I wish you continued great health.

Asynchronous classes commenced in the second week of lectures. This week's focus is concept of teaching and education technology, as well as innovation and technology, and disruptive innovation. This topic has been added to UKMFolio so that students can view it even if there isn't a virtual class. The goal of this lecture is to master and apply psychomotor abilities in physical education, sports, and recreation teaching and learning. I've also done some research on this topic in order to better grasp the aim of this course and to learn more about the technologies that will be used to complete homework, whether individual or group assignments. Here are some input that i gained from my revision:

The development of assessment models used when applying teaching technology is using JERI models. What is JERI?

J - JASMANI
E - EMOSI
R - ROHANI
I - INTELEK

Next, the  latest trend in the instructional technology concept, which is separated into three categories:

WEEK 1 : INTRODUCING GGGA2123 PROFORMA

11/2/2021

Assalamualaikum and I hope your day is  Filled With happiness Year to all of our readers.
Alhamdulillah, thanks to the divine mercies, I was able to enrol in the GGGA2123 Innovation and Educational Technology course for semester 1 of this 20212022 session.

Face-to-face classes are still prohibited due to the growth of the COVID-19 outbreak, so lecture sessions are held online. Having to deal with this online class is proving to be quite a hardship for me, especially because this course emphasises the use of technology in the classroom. As a result, honing technology abilities is difficult, and I also need to work harder to use technology that will be needed in future assignments.

Dr. Hazrati gave a brief overview of the course on the first week. A lot of input is needed throughout the course description, especially on the individual and group assignment components, as those tasks will be used to offer an assessment. The goal for SUKRES performers this week is to master and integrate basic and specialised knowledge in the fields of physical education, sports, and recreation. Before the lecture end, students were required to complete a form on UKMfolio in order to form a tutorial class with other professors, which would be separated into multiple tutorial groups.

Best regards, Zakirah.
